Energy of the Week: Strength and Guidance

The energy of this week can be summed up in two words:

Get. Quiet.

This week is bursting with incoming information from the divine, but we can't tune into it if we don't step outside of the normal hustle and bustle of everyday life. We're being asked to actually carve out time this week to block out any and all distractions. Silence the phone, lock the door, ignore the emails, and sit in silence.

Are you squirming in your seat right now? If so, you're not alone. We've become accustomed to doing a million things at once. We almost have to in order to keep up in today's society. Half the time we operate on autopilot from the moment we wake up - contemplating the day's activites while brushing our teeth, taking a shower, getting the kids ready for school, driving to work, etc. We spend so much time in thought about what's upcoming (or what's already in the past) that we are almost never right here, right now, in the moment. It's no wonder that the idea of taking 5 - 10 minutes each day to sit in silence makes our heart rate rise in nervous anticipation.

This is the challenge this week, Friends. Take a few minutes each day to sit in silence. Set a timer on your phone so you don't have to worry about falling asleep or missing a deadline. Start with 3 minutes, extend it to 5 minutes half way through the week, and end the week at 10 minutes. There is insight, wisdom, and guidance making its way to us this week. Make the space in your schedule to tune in, listen, and integrate. At worst you will have taken a small amount of time for yourself each day this week. At best, you'll feel supported and dialed in with the possibility of a new daily habit.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes in the comments below. Was it challenging in the beginning? Did it feel easier the more you did it? What insight did you receive and/or contemplate? Tell us all the things, and we'll let you know how it went for us in our weekly check-in on the Groves Facebook Group...
